Frustrated? Looking For Great Customer Service From Your Handyman?

We hear it all the time..

  • "I've called 6 people and nobody will call me back"

  • "I've had 3 different contractors come out and none of them actually sent me a bid"

  • "I can't find anyone who is willing to (fill in the blank)"

So why is it so hard to get great customer service when looking for someone to help with your home repairs? Let us answer that for you, and get you some help!

It's important that your handyman is able to manage the business side of customer service as well. We will answer your call and your questions.

Are contractors really that busy?

The simple answer...yes. Casper is growing and with that comes new home sales, remodeling of older homes and home maintenance. Not to mention commercial businesses that need all those same things. Because of the extreme temperatures, wind, draught and intense snow fall, the elements aren't our friend and our homes and businesses take the brunt of that in ways that contractors have to help with.

So how do I get help?

Without just stating the obvious CALL US and leaving it there, keep in mind that a lot of contractors don't have dedicated office staff (we do). Leave a message and give them a day or two to call you back. If they have a website and a contact form (we do), or they've given you their email, try reaching out that way. We are often in the field till after "dinner time" and we can reply after hours without interrupting family time or waking you.

How quick can you get to me? It depends.

"Emergencies" - If you have an "emergency" situation, we generally get to clients the same day to at least assess the situation and see how we can help.

Bids - If you're looking for a bid for larger projects such as retiling your bathroom or landscaping your backyard, we work these visits into the calendar as soon as we can. Sometimes these visits can happen same day, at most, a week (yep, I make him work Saturdays to catch up on bids sometimes).

Once we've done the initial walkthrough bids can take a few days depending on the scope of your project. We are obviously spending our days working with existing clients, then during our morning coffee and over the dinner table, we are researching materials, coming up with inspiration photos, calculating pricing, and typing it all up for your viewing pleasure. Generally speaking we can get bids back to you within just a few days, but if you have a larger or more complicated project please be patient. It's important to us that we do all we can to give you a fair, well thought out bid for your project and we promise, we're going to get it to you as soon as possible.

Doing The Work - Again, this really depends on what you're needing done. If you need a storm door hung, or some small project that can be done in a matter or a few hours, we can usually work you in within a few days or a week. If you've got a larger project, it depends on what it is. Do you have special order items we need to wait on? Is it dependent on good weather? There are lots of variables that factor in, but what we can tell you is that we will give you an estimated start date when we contract with you. As we get closer to that date we will communicate with you to ensure that the scheduled start date is finalized ahead of time and works within your schedule so that you have the best customer experience possible.
